Earlier this
month Team Maranello set off for the trip of a lifetime taking a convoy of 8
Ferraris back to the town in which they were born.
Departing from our
Tower Garage showroom in Egham, we headed towards Folkestone where we boarded the
Euroshuttle to Calais. After a blast through Northern France we made a quick
pit-stop at the historic Reims-Gueux GP Track before heading to the heart of
the champagne country and to the fabulous Loisium Spa Hotel where we had dinner
and overnight stay.
The next day we
following breakfast we travelled into Switzerland where we spent the second night
at the beautiful Hotel Palafitte; the hotel built on stilts among the wonderful
Lake Neuchâtel.
Day three saw
us drive further into Switzerland, taking in some truly spectacular roads and
scenery, as well as some iconic Alpine passes, before arriving at the In Lain
Hotel Cadonau; a stunning, traditional, Alpine hotel situated 1600 metres above
sea level.
The penultimate
day of the Tour embodied the phrase ‘last but not least’ as it presented one of
the most exciting days of driving as we took on the Stelvio Pass before heading
down the mountain towards Lake Garda. By the evening we arrived in Italy, where
we had dinner at the famous Ristorante Montana followed by an overnight stay at
the Executive Spa Hotel.
The Tour
concluded with a private tour of the iconic Ferrari Factory, entering via the
gates through which Enzo Ferrari’s first car – the 125S - was driven in 1947. Following
our Tour we took a short walk opposite the Factory for a wonderful lunch at
Cavallino Restaurant, courtesy of acclaimed chef Massimo Bottura.
It was a truly wonderful
trip, and we are so grateful to everyone who joined us. To learn more and
